Yad B Yad Finale
Today was the Finale session of the “Yad’B’Yad” Programme for Year 9 pupils.
Over the last few weeks, our Yr.9 pupils have been participating in this programme, learning more about charities, social action and helping others. The programme aimed to break down barriers, with those with and without disabilities motivating our pupils Ty to want to take part in charitable causes.
At today's finale event it was evident that the programme had certainly succeeded in its goal!
Joined by representatives from 5 different charities : GIFT, Kisharon, Jewish Care, JAMI, Streetwise and Maccabi, our pupils gave presentations focussing on what they had learned and shared what they had gained from their experience.
The session concluded with a powerful address from guest speaker, Steve Cunningham, a blind sportsman. He took the audience on his journey from despair to success and left them inspired to break their own barriers to achieve their ambitions.
