Entertaining Open Mic Night Makes Money For Shevet Achim
In the evening of Thursday 13th February, Immanuel hosted its fourth annual Open Mic Night in the JKT. Members of staff were joined by students from the Senior and Prep Schools on stage to perform an old-fashioned variety bill comprising poetry, song, music, magic and dramatic monologues. Many of the pieces were original works or, at the very least, original twists of standard classics. The atmosphere in the room was intimate, informal, warm and jovial. One parent emailed Ms Amdurer to say that the evening is her favourite school event of the year. As well as to provide an evening of fun and entertainment, the aim of the event, as always, was to raise money for Shevet Achim and on this occasion an amazing £580 was raised.
