IC6 Visual Arts Scholarship (Art and Photography)
What is it?
Visual Art Scholars will demonstrate enthusiasm for Art and/or Photography and will have developed excellent and refined drawing skills or outstanding photographic skill and show creativity in handling a variety of media. We shall be looking at the students’ potential rather than expecting highly finished work.
The benefits on offer will contribute to a richer learning experience and better preparation for a career in the arts. Scholars will be expected to regularly visit exhibitions to expand their knowledge as well as participating in competitions in and outside of school.
Scholars programme
Art and Photography scholars will have the opportunity to work with skilled practising and visiting artists in their own field of works to support the development of their portfolio strengthening applications to Arts Universities.
Art scholars will collaborate with animators or special effects, prosthetics and make-up artists, film-makers and marketing professionals in order to support and enhance our scholars' experience within the Arts, helping them gain as much insight and experience as possible in these fields.
Photography scholars will have the possibility of shadowing a professional photographer on a shoot.
