Immanuel College celebrates A-Level and BTEC students and looks ahead

to an ambitious new chapter

Immanuel College celebrates the achievements of its A-Level and BTEC students as the Class of 2026 receives its results and prepares to take the next step in their education and future careers.

Students have achieved strong results across a broad range of subjects and secured places at leading universities and institutions in the UK and overseas. 

The results come as Immanuel College begins an exciting new chapter under the leadership of Head, Mr Christopher Jones, with renewed ambition for the College and its Sixth Form and a clear focus on delivering an outstanding educational experience for every student.

This year

• 52% A -Levels were graded A*-A
• 88% A-Levels were graded A*-B
• 100% of BTEC students achieved Distinction*-Merit
• 88% of BTEC students achieved Distinction*-Distinction
• 100% of students completing the Extended Project Qualification achieved A*-A.

Success across the curriculum

• In Modern Hebrew, 100% of students achieved A*.
• Photography recorded another set of excellent results, with 100% achieving A*-A.
• 100% of students studying History, achieved A*-A.
• Across the curriculum, 100% of students achieved A*-B in English Literature, Business, Geography, Politics, Religious Studies, Sociology and Computer Studies. 

Individual achievements and destinations

Beyond the headline figures are a wide range of individual achievements, with students progressing to universities and specialist institutions across the UK and internationally.

This year’s destinations include Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh, Bath, Nottingham and Birmingham, with students going on to study a diverse range of interesting subjects including Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, Economics and Banking, Maths and Statistics.

One student will be studying Medicine at Birmingham and another student has secured a place on the prestigious Tel Aviv Columbia Dual Degree Programme. 

83% of Immanuel College UCAS applicants have currently secured places at their first-choice destination.

89% of our students will be moving on to Russell Group UK or Top US universities. 

A number of students will also spend the coming year in Israel either studying in Yeshiva or Seminary or participating in one of the exciting gap year programmes. 

26% of students achieved AAA or higher.

There are some excellent individual achievements across this year’s cohort, both academically and in the destinations our students have secured. These successes reflect the determination of our students and the commitment and support of our teaching staff. 

I am delighted to be joining Immanuel at such an exciting time. We have high ambitions for the College and for the future of our Sixth Form, including the opening of our new Sixth Form Centre. We want every student to leave Immanuel well prepared for the next stage of their life, with confidence in their abilities and a strong sense of who they are.

The new academic year will mark an exciting new phase for Immanuel College, with a renewed focus on the Sixth Form experience and a new Sixth Form centre, and continued investment in ensuring students benefit from outstanding teaching, individual support, opportunity and preparation for life beyond school.

Immanuel College celebrates GCSE students and looks ahead

to an exciting new chapter

Immanuel College is celebrating the achievements of its Year 11 students today as they receive their GCSE results and prepare for the next stage of their education.

Students have achieved strong results across a broad range of subjects, with a number of excellent individual performances across this year’s cohort. This is especially impressive considering the challenging year experienced by the cohort and the school.

The results come at an exciting time for Immanuel College as the school begins a new chapter under the leadership of Head, Mr Christopher Jones, with renewed ambition for the future and a continued commitment to offering students a distinctive experience combining academic excellence and an exceptional Jewish education.

This year:

• Grade 9: 23.6% 
• Grades 9–8: 42.9% 
• Grades 9–7: 60.7% 
• Grades 9–4: 98.1% 

(Number of candidates: 68)

Students at Immanuel College achieved on average 1 grade higher than other comparable students at other independent schools, with an even greater gap in regard to the state sector.

 Individual achievements

This year’s cohort includes a number of excellent individual success stories:

• 5 students achieved 7 or more Grade 9s
• 6 students achieved straight Grade 8s and 9s in all subjects
• 10 students received Grade 7-9s in all subjects

Students achieved particularly strong results across a number of subject areas.

• 100% Visual Arts 9-7
• 100% Modern Hebrew 9-7
• 70% 9-7 in English Language
• 70% 9-7 in Chemistry
• 70% 9-7 in French
• 100% A* at EPQ
• 68% 9-7 in Triple Science
• 78% 9-7 in Modern Foreign Languages

For the third year in a row, a GCSE Photography student received the top marks in the country.
