Immanuel College Celebrates another year of A-Level & BTEC Excellence
Immanuel College is proud to announce excellent A-Level and BTEC results for 2025. Under the leadership of Head, Mr Dan Endlar and our dedicated teaching team, students have achieved remarkable success, reflecting noteworthy academic achievement across the board and the College’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic personal development.
This year’s results show a healthy increase in top grades compared to 2024:
- 64% of results achieved at A*- A (up from 53% in 2024);
- 88% at A*- B (up from 80% in 2024).
- More than 40% of the cohort achieved 3 A grades or higher: with the two scoring A*A*A*A.
- 100% of our BTEC students attained Distinction*– Distinction (A*– A equivalent)

Economics Edges Up
- The Immanuel College Economics Department celebrated excellent success with 92% of Economics students achieving A*- B.
Marvellous Maths Marks
- Maths continues to achieve top results, with 91% of students achieving A*- B, and 100% achieving A*- A in Further Maths.
Big Business Success
- Business results boomed with 75% results graded A*- A
Visual Arts Achievements
- Art & Photography students continue to achieve and inspire, not only with their outstanding work displayed at the recent Art & Photography Exhibition, but with their well-deserved grades, with 100% of candidates attaining A*- A.
English Excellence
- 100% of English Literature students achieved A*- B
- Many students went above and beyond their A-Level and BTEC studies, by completing an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), all of whom achieved top marks. An impressive 82% attained an A*, an increase from 78% in 2024; and 100% of results achieved A*- A
Strength in Humanities
- Geography A Level students excelled with 80% A*– A
- History students also performed exceptionally well with 100% A*- B
Individual Achievements & Destinations
This year’s cohort includes a wealth of individual success stories:
- One student has secured a place at Cambridge University to study Mathematics.
- One student will begin Sheffield Medical School this autumn.
- Three students have won places at top US universities including a Dual Degree course at Tel Aviv/Columbia, Emory, and University of Virginia.
- Creative excellence was reflected in one student gaining a place at the University of the Arts London and another at a prestigious Italian fashion university Istituto Marangoni, London.
- Six students will spend the coming year in Yeshiva or Seminary as part of a gap year programme.
Desired Destinations Determined
Our students’ success is further highlighted by their destination achievements. Currently, 83% of Immanuel College UCAS applicants have secured places at their first-choice destinations. Notably, our top achievers have secured places at Cambridge (to read Maths), and prestigious Universities across Russell Group and other leading subject-specific universities including Bristol and Leeds, and Birmingham and Nottingham.

Immanuel College Celebrates record GCSE Success
Immanuel College is delighted to declare an exceptional set of GCSE results for 2025, breaking records on every measure. Under the leadership of Head, Mr Dan Endlar, and the dedication of an outstanding teaching team, students have achieved remarkable success. This year’s results emphasise Immanuel’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and focus on the personal development of every student.
This year’s GCSE results demonstrate significant progress across all top-grade boundaries compared to 2024:
- Grade 9: 34.7% (2024: 29.8%, 2023: 26.6%) - Record
- Grades 9-8 combined: 56.1% (2024: 50.6%, 2023: 49.1%) - Record
- Grades 9-7 (inclusive): 73.0% (2024: 69.9%, 2023: 66.7%) - Record
- Grades 9-4 (inclusive): 98.9% (2024: 96.6%, 2023: 97.3%) – Record

The school’s added value data (a measure of how well a student has done for their initial ability) indicate that Immanuel students achieved more one grade higher than typical students in independent schools.

Notable Achievements
- An impressive 1 in 3 GCSE entries were awarded Grade 9.
- Five students achieved straight Grade 9s, including one exceptional student who achieved 12 Grade 9s.
- 14% of the cohort achieved eight Grade 9s, reflecting the remarkable success achieved in GCSEs at the College.
- The average GCSE grade this year was 7.5, an increase from 7.2 in 2024.
National Success in Visual Arts
The College is delighted to celebrate continued strength across a range of subjects.
Visual Arts Excellence
Art & Design and Photography once again excelled, with Art & Design achieving 100% results at 9-7, up from 94% in 2024. Photography achieved 97% of all grades at 9-7, up from 93% in 2024.
We are very proud of the results obtained by all our Art & Design and Photography students, one of whom who was congratulated by exam board OCR for achieving one of the top Photography grades in the country.
