Immanuel takes charge of the board Team captain Jamie Saleh’s, (9FP) message to his rival was short and sweet: checkmate. Immanuel’s chess team won their second consecutive victory in March, beating Parmiter’s 2-1 with a fourth game fought to a draw. Our team boasted new addition Ruby Daitz, (7JS), with stalwarts Joshua Smith, (9FP) and rising coach Sammy Rose, (10NGA) completing the team. Parmiter’s for their part were hospitable in welcome and dignified in defeat, and we have extended them an invitation to play a return match next term. Our thanks to all those who helped organise this event, and to Ernest for his regular expert coaching of our players.
