A Beastly Show

On Thursday 5th January, the Drama department took a group of Year 10 pupils to see Beasts and Beauties at the Hampstead Theatre, a production based on Grimm’s Fairy Tales and adapted by Carol-Ann Duffy.  It was well-choreographed, visually stunning and consistently entertaining. The pupils particularly enjoyed the slapstick and irreverent humour. Adam Ellis referred to the show as ‘an interesting, unusual and fun experience’. For him, the best moment was ‘when the beast jumped out and scared the audience half to death!’ Zoe Margolin was also very complimentary about the Beast’s performance and commented that ‘the way the Beast changed from animal to man was really clever".
