The inaugural Immanuel College Careers Fair took place on the evening of Wednesday 6th March, with over 250 people in attendance. The aims of the Fair were to inspire our Year 11 and Year 12 students in their career choices, ignite interest in particular fields of work and to introduce students to mentors and routes to obtaining work experience. Distinguished Display of Dancing Diversity

The Immanuel College ‘Just Dance’ Show took place on Thursday 31st January. Students from the Sixth Form came together to help organise the evening and choreograph dances for the show whilst girls from Years 7 – 10 performed in a variety of class, group and individual dances. Sixteen Year 10 pupils attended the “Maths in Action Conference” in London on 5th March. They had the opportunity to watch eminent mathematicians present interesting and intriguing ideas, whilst conveying their passion for Mathematics. The talks involved audience participation, with Oriel Shapira (Year 10) featuring on stage in a demonstration of musical harmonics (see photo). Music pupils were thrilled to welcome one of the UK’s most sought-after composers, Michael Price, to the College on 6th March. Michael, an award-winning composer, is well-known for his music scores for BBC’s Sherlock drama and for films including Lord of the Rings and Horrid Henry: The Movie. No Cross Words In Middle School Maths Team

On 12th March, Dexter Goodkind (Year 8), Alex Root (Year 8), Shane Melnick (Year 9) and Daniel Schindler (Year 9) represented Immanuel College in the Regional Final of the UKMT Team Mathematics Competition. The event, held at Ashlyn’s School in Berkhamsted, was contested by 24 teams from schools across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. Immanuel College held a special assembly on Friday 1st March to present a new Immanuel College siddur to the Year 7-9 pupils. The siddur, which has been specifically designed for Immanuel College, includes specific coloured pages to highlight different aspects of davening, FAQ sections and explanations of the tefillot.
