Year 8 Girls? Drumming Workshop

Year 8 girls had a rare treat on Monday when they took part in a drumming workshop. In the course of the day, the girls played a great number of percussion instruments. The classes were split into groups of four or five and each group was asked to compose its own unique chant, using the sound of the drums and maracas to inspire them. During the final afternoon session, the girls performed their rehearsed pieces in front of the rest of the year.
