Technion & NASA Astrophysicist Explores Space With Immanuel Students

Tuesday, 4th March 2008

Leading astrophysicist, and Technion and NASA Professor, Ehud Behar, visited Immanuel College for the British Technion Society?s Young Scientist Lecture, an exciting programme which takes cutting-edge scientific research into schools and universities.

Dr Behar spoke to the Immanuel students about his fascinating work at NASA which includes X-ray observation of stars, stellar activity and the enormous energy within black holes in space. He also spoke about Israel?s important contribution to astrophysics and the future of one of the most competitive and exciting fields of science.

Professor Ehud Behar said: ?One thing I have missed this year while I have been studying at NASA has been the opportunity to speak to the students. Visiting Immanuel has given me a wonderful opportunity to speak to the younger generation of scientists and get them excited about space research.?
