Students Represent Immanuel at Public Speaking Competition

Max Sachon, Natasha Rosenfeld and Hannah Skolnick represented Immanuel College in the English Speaking Union?s public speaking competition. Immanuel hosted the first area round and were runners-up to Haberdashers? Aske?s School for Boys. The area final took place in February at Haberdashers? where Immanuel College finished runners-up. This is Immanuel College?s best performance since 2003 when it entered the competition for the first time. Max Sachon won the overall ?Best Personality? award for a charming and impassioned presentation in which he successfully argued that the government is eroding our civil liberties. Max was presented with a Shield of Honour and gift vouchers to spend at Borders.
