Fiddler on the Roof
On 27th November the PSA organised an outing to the Savoy Theatre in London to see ?Fiddler on the Roof.? 25 people travelled on a No.13 bus driven very professionally by Alex Geisler. We left from Immanuel with a stop at Henlys Corner, travelling in some style to the Theatre and back, with refreshments supplied by Kanteen.
All 44 of us met up at the theatre. Thank goodness Henry Goodman was on that night and in full voice! His performance was spectacular. We would all agree that there wasn?t a dry eye in the house. Not surprisingly the bar area was very quiet that night!!
A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all and we now look forward to our ?Joseph? trip on the 10th January.
This trip and ?Joseph? are both non profit making events, for which we have been able to pass on block booking discounts to our parents.
Kanteen Chanukah Breakfast
This morning 25 ladies from a cross section of school years at Immanuel met for a sumptuous Chanukah breakfast at Kanteen Restaurant in Bushey.
The committee organised a varied menu to cover all dietary requirements and preferences, ranging from egg dishes to traditional Israeli breakfast and American waffles.
By 9.30 the restaurant was buzzing with healthy conversation, laughter and cappuccinos.
Everybody mixed in well regardless of whether they had children in common.
They all agreed that we should continue to offer events like this as it gave them the opportunity to get to know each other better. Everyone felt part of the Immanuel family.
We raised £100 on the morning and a great time was had by all!
Best wishes and wishing you all a happy Chanukah.
