Opening of Torah MiTzion Kollel

Today marked the official opening of the Immanuel College Torah MiTzion Kollel ? the first Modern Orthodox Zionist kollel in England. Mr Skelker welcomed Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Benjamin Tabory and the two Kollel Families.
The Kollel exemplifies one of Immanuel College?s founding principles ? to continually increase depths of Jewish learning, acquire further knowledge and enhance our support of the wider world. The Kollel will provide a variety of activities for the entire school including: Mincha Munch for the Sixth Form, Sunday Learning at ?IBM ? Immanuel Beit Midrash? for the Lower School, one-to-one chevrutot, chugim, evening learning, shabbatonim and discussion groups on contemporary Israel issues.
The Kollel will headed by Rabbi Benjamin Tabory, Senior Lecturer in Talmudic Studies and Jewish philosophy at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush) in Israel, and will be facilitated by Dovi and Malka Holtz,
and Assi and Dana Mittlemon. The Kollel opening marks the start of an exciting year of learning for Immanuel College and the wider community.
