Intermediate Maths Challenge Success

Wednesday, 9th March 2011

This year students at Immanuel College have shown an excellent level of enthusiasm for the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Intermediate Mathematics Challenge. The nationwide competition consists of unusual, intriguing multiple choice questions, which are designed to help stimulate interest in mathematics in large numbers of pupils.

91 students from years 9 to 11 voluntarily took part in the Intermediate Challenge. A staggering 30 students scored high enough to win a certificate, with Chana Bernstein earning the highest mark in the school.
