Immanuel Students Play the Part for Drama Evening
Wednesday, 11th June 2008
Forty-five amateur dramatics enthusiasts at Immanuel College performed a series of scenes last week from some of the world?s best-known plays in front of a 100-strong crowd of parents, teachers and fellow pupils.
The drama evening, featuring students from years 7-9 (ages 11-14), included scenes from Blood Brothers, and improvisations based on The Tempest. The event at the school in Bushey included a demonstration in stage make-up, and ended with a scene from Julius Cesar.
Philip Skelker, Headmaster of Immanuel College, commented: ?We very proud of our students who volunteered their time and practised their pieces to perfection after school and during lunch time. The evening itself was a huge success. It was great to see Immanuel students involved in all aspects of the evening, from lighting and props through to stage make-up.?
