The report of the inspectors from ISI, the Independent Schools Inspectorate, who visited Immanuel College in March of this year, gives warm praise to every aspect of the life and work of the school.

The inspectors found that 'standards are excellent' in relation to the quality of pupils' achievements, learning and attitudes. Immanuel's 'results at GCSE are high in comparison with all maintained schools’ and ‘at A level they are high in comparison with maintained selective schools'.  They report that 'throughout the school, pupils make excellent progress in relation to their above average ability' and perceive that 'excellent relationships underpin the high quality of teaching and learning' at the school.’

The inspectors comment on pupils' 'strong sense of identity, reflecting their excellent personal development'.  They add that 'both pupils and parents are extremely positive about the excellent quality of pastoral care', noting that 'the outstanding support and guidance that the pupils receive is rooted in the excellent relationships between all at the school.' They comment further that the school is 'quietly, but outstandingly led and its day-to-day work is underpinned to an exceptional degree by its clear set of values and principles.'

Philip Skelker, the Head Master, comments, “This report, which shows the great benefits of an Immanuel education, in particular its success in maximising the achievement of each pupil entrusted to it, is a source of immense pride to all members of the school community.” Dr Sara Levene, the Chair of Governors, states, “I am proud to be taking Immanuel College into the future. This stunning report justifies the ongoing investment of funds, time and commitment by everyone associated with the school.”
