Conservation in Harrow
Tuesday, 13th November 2007
Stephen Bolsover, a representative from the Harrow Nature Conservation Forum, a Sub-Committee of the Harrow Heritage Trust, gave a talk to Years 7 to 9 today on the important work that this volunteer group undertakes in to maintain the nature reserves and wild open spaces in the London Borough of Harrow, including Bentley Priory, Pear Wood and Stanmore Common. The group organises events such as guided walks and working parties in the various reserves. Immanuel College hopes to organise a group of 5-10 pupils and teachers to join a Sunday morning working party from the Trust and help to record species found in the area, cut down trees and build bridges.
