Alumni of the class of '99 Reunite

Sunday, 11th July 2010

On Sunday 11th July, Immanuel College held its first alumni reunion for when over 50 pupils who left in 1999, former members of staff and their families came back to the school, toured their old classrooms, laughed at the stories of their schooldays, reminisced about spoof newsletters and marvelled at the changes and developments at the school since they left.  An additional 10 alumni joined the proceedings via a web-cam link in Israel where they now live and talked animatedly to their old friends and teachers.

Richard Segal, Co-Chair of Governors said, “Immanuel College opened its doors in 1990, so hosting the first ever reunion event at the school for our alumni was a landmark event.  There have been so many changes at Immanuel College since this class left in 1999 and many of those present at this reunion appeared to be as excited to learn about how the school has grown, developed and progressed as they were to catch up with old friends. Immanuel College is characterised by its academic excellence, expert pastoral care and inspiring Jewish education and all associated with the School since its inception take great pride in seeing former pupils developing into confident, fulfilled and successful adults.”
